Oh what a great article! We make our own butter here (and cheese, and yogurt) but sadly no bogs in Central Illinois to test your bog theory myself. I do leave it out on the counter year round which makes my chef daughter-in-law crazy but butter made from raw milk is just naturally indestructible.

Thanks Donna! We leave our butter on the counter as well; I didn't know people had an objection to it. :-)
