More only in Ireland

At the local petrol pump, some people just pull their horses in for a refueling.

 Seen near Dingle.

Signs here do what they say on the tin.

The signs here don't always tell you the direct way to get somewhere, but they tell you a way.

Seen on a wall in Dublin.

Oh how I love the signage in Ireland, "loose chippings" and "mind your hair" two of my favorites. I wonder if those visiting here find US signage just as hilarious? probably not. Our signs are dull.

Donna, when we first moved here I saw a sign that said "Warning: bollards. There may be clamping." It was gibberish to my American brain. :-)

Everything in Ireland is "just down the road." I can't tell you how many times I've been told to just go down the road only to find myself nowhere nearer my destination!
