Built in a hollow of the Wicklow Mountains shortly after the fall of the Roman Empire, it has remained a center of pilgrimage for 1,500 years. It's also one of my daughter's favourite places to climb trees.
Let’s say we've lost most of the self-reliant skills and classical education that our forbears possessed. Let's say we have replaced them with a culture of buying and discarding things we don't value, and staring at glowing screens.
