Most of them hold some interest, however, and a few, like "A House Strictly Private" or "Unwritten Ireland" are fascinating. I think many of your readers, including this one, would very much like to hear some of them. That the culture will be changing going forward is obvious, for better or worse. The driving force will be energy. My preference is for an energy Seneca Cliff rather than the John Greer stair step down trajectory. My reasons are selfish. I want to be alive to see the possibility of a culture in some ways similar to Ireland of the 50's. That is more locally produced goods, foods and services, more community interaction, less mindless travel and perhaps a peak in atmospheric CO2.sv kohohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11058401490041584973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5811749743523633503.post-12604695594396235462017-07-27T07:39:38.522+01:002017-07-27T07:39:38.522+01:00Jeff,

We don't need a single solution, but many -- and thankfully, the past has many solutions for us, waiting to be revived. It's not going to be easy, and odds are that not all of us will like the same bits. Maybe that's why we need villages and counties and states, so we don't all have to have the same solution. Maybe smaller is better, but TV and the Internet make that harder.

Always liked your blog. Thank you!Jeff Balvanzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03177757232335400468noreply@blogger.com
